Fight the flab with estrogen

Ladies, you know the deal. The worst part about aging isn't going gray, it's not joint pain, and it's not even all that hair growing out of your husband's ears.

It's the flab... the blubber that gathers around your middle, jiggles when you walk, and spills out over your clothes.

Yes, it's the dreaded "muffin top."

Seems like no matter what you do, it won't go away -- but that's not true. There IS something you can do right now to chase it away for good, and the answer comes from a new study on mice that shows how muffin top is created in the first place.

This ugly form of flab is actually controlled by a specific enzyme -- one that itself is kept in check by estrogen. So when you're young and rich in hormones, the enzyme lays low and muffin top is something you snicker at when you see it on other women.

Then, one day, menopause hits. Estrogen falls, the enzyme goes to work, and suddenly YOU'RE the one other women are snickering at.

But it doesn't have to be that way.

The researchers behind the new study say they hope to work on a new therapy that targets the enzyme, but that's a waste of everyone's time.

What you really need is to replace your lost estrogen.

There's been a lot of fear-mongering over estrogen therapy in recent years and most of it's bunk. Done responsibly, estrogen treatments are safe, effective, and in some cases critical to your overall health -- especially when it comes to muffin top.

This fat isn't just unsightly. It's dangerous -- because muffin top is made of the visceral fat that builds up around the organs, increasing your risk of diabetes, heart disease, and an early death.

The best way to get your estrogen back is by working with an experienced naturopathic physician. I recommend a member of the American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM).

Just one note on this: If your muffin top is made of actual muffins, no amount of estrogen will make it go away -- so be sure to eat right, too.

I'm not done with hormones yet. Men, you're up next. Keep reading!
