If you ask me, lots of the so-called health “experts” out there are practically masters of torture.

Everything they recommend is so darned HARD!

They want you counting every calorie… skipping EVERY food you love… and working out like a Marine in basic training.

Well, protecting your health… and adding YEARS to your life… shouldn’t be so difficult.

In fact, I’m going to show you a simple way to stop many of the worst killers around.

And it takes literally 60 seconds a day.

****

The biggest cause of disease, hands down, is run-away inflammation.

So how do you stop it?

The first place you can start is with that lonely, abandoned roll of floss in your medicine cabinet.

I don’t know the REAL percentage of people who floss every day… but the percentage of people who CLAIM they floss every day is 100%.

Dentists will tell you it’s the number-one thing their patients lie about.

But if you’re not flossing enough, it’s time to start – it could be a matter of life and death.

We talk a lot about protecting the collection of bacteria in your gut (your microbiome). But the microbiome in your mouth is pretty important, too.

It really doesn’t make much sense to separate the microorganisms in your mouth from the ones in your gut: studies show that 40 percent of the bacteria in your gut match the ones in your mouth.

A bad combination of bugs in your mouth triggers inflammation that can cause cavities, gingivitis and periodontitis. But it also increases the risk for heart disease, diabetes, and cancer throughout your body.

It is well-known that bacteria associated with periodontal disease produce chemicals such as lipopolysaccharide (LPS) which can alter the body’s control of blood sugar levels and contribute to the accumulation of plaque and clotting factors in the arteries of your heart.

Other studies have found periodontal bacteria DNA in coronary artery plaque – a straight pathway from mouth bacteria to heart disease.

The good news is you can easily improve the microbes in your mouth with a couple simple steps.

First, try to cut back on the sugars and carbs – sugar is like rocket fuel for bad mouth bacteria.

Second, flossing is a scientifically proven way to keep the harmful bacteria in check.

Just 60 seconds of flossing a day won’t just make your teeth healthier – it could have a dramatic impact on your overall health.
