According to a new study, it’s an antioxidant found in the skins of red grapes, called resveratrol.

Resveratrol is known to reduce the effect of an enzyme that controls cholesterol production. And in the study, Mexican researchers found that those who supplemented with resveratrol saw their total cholesterol plummet compared to those who received a placebo.

What's more, those in the resveratrol group also saw their triglyceride levels plunge.
