Your "age-defying" cosmetics could make you crazy!
Ladies, you don't have to look "young" to be beautiful.
I know that isn't what you've heard, but don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Because no matter how many laugh lines have popped up across your smiling face, there's not a thing that all those creams, potions, and lotions can do to change what's really important about you.
And according to the FDA, they just might make you crazy.
Take a look at what's in your makeup case right now. If you see "mercurous chloride," "calomel," "mercuric," or "mercurio" listed on the label of anything in there, stop using it immediately.
Those are all euphemisms for MERCURY.
That's right, the same dangerous chemical element that powers your thermometer and fluorescent light bulbs is also a key ingredient in many anti-aging skin creams, soaps, and lotions currently on the market.
You might be tempted to use one of them, or the equally-as-dangerous "skin lightening" treatments, if you've enjoyed a little too much sun in your day... or things like pollution, dehydration, and sleep deprivation have gotten the best of your visage.
But you don't want to be putting that stuff anywhere near your body -- much less your FACE.
You practically need a hazmat suit to handle this stuff, since mercury poisoning can cause burning, rashes, and pink, swelling, or even peeling skin.
It's even been known to mess with your senses -- and leave you babbling like a maniac.
Is that a risk you're willing to take... just to look younger?
Well, you should also know that the mercury might affect not only you, but also anyone else who breathes it in... or comes in contact with any towel you used to apply the cream or dry your skin after washing.
Young children -- like your grandkids -- are especially vulnerable to mercury poisoning.
In most cases, these creams are purchased online. And many of them leave the toxic ingredients off their labels, so you can't even be sure whether or not you're slathering on a heavy dose of crazy-making cream.
The truth is, you don't need to buy expensive creams to get a youthful glow.
Getting plenty of sleep can give you back your bright eyes and bushy tail, and drinking plenty of water can do wonders to clear up your skin.
You can also protect your skin from the damage of free radicals by eating a diet that's rich in antioxidants. You can find them packed in fruits that are full of polyphenols, like dark berries.
And because you're only as young as the age of your insides, load up on vitamin B3.
