Men, it's a "fact of life" that you need your testosterone more than ever as you get older -- yet that's exactly when those hormone levels plummet to all-time lows.
Even something as ordinary -- not to mention manly -- as having a kid can cause your T-levels to crash and burn, with one recent study showing that new dads could suffer plunges of 50 percent or more.
The men who were most involved in hands-on baby care had the biggest drops of all, but that's no surprise to me. I'd bet these are the same men who do everything short of breastfeeding while their wives put on the pants and head to work.
You know the type I'm talking about.
Don't breathe easier if you've never had a kid: Even the men in the study who didn't have kids saw dips of 14 percent in just five years. Like I said, it happens to everyone -- and if you're getting up there in years, it's happening to you right now.
I call it the "T-Minus" condition, and there are two easy ways to get back into "plus" territory: You can visit a naturopathic physician who can check your levels and top you off with hormone supplementation, or you can be a man about it and take matters into your own hands.
As I told you recently, a study done by the manufacturer on the extract of the ram's horn clover showed it raised the free testosterone levels of 29 participants also engaging in a strength training regimen by 96 percent -- more than enough to put the VROOM back into your life, even if you've raised a house full of kids.
